When your pet wanders off, instantly see their location (when in service range) using the "Find My" app on your smartphone which taps into the entire Find My network of hundreds of millions of Apple devices around the world. This allows you to see the location history of where your pet has been along with their live GPS location, right on a map!
How does it work?
Your AirTag sends out a secure Bluetooth signal that can be detected by nearby devices in the Find My network. These devices send the location of your AirTag to iCloud — then you can go to the Find My app and see it on a map. The whole process is anonymous and encrypted to protect your privacy. And itʼs efficient, so thereʼs no need to worry about battery life or data usage.
Just like your other Apple devices, AirTag can be put into Lost Mode. Then, when it’s detected by a device in the network, you’ll automatically get a notification. You can also set it so someone can get your contact info by tapping your AirTag with their NFC-capable smartphone — that’s the same technology that lets people pay for things with their phones.
Plus when someone finds your pet, they can simply scan the tag's QR code to instantly share the GPS location of your pet along with their contact info to you via text and email!

It's that simple. If your pet is lost, anyone with a smartphone can scan the QR code on the back of the tag, share their GPS location, view your pet's profile and receive owner contact info.
How our Safe-Scan QR technology works:
Using the camera from any smartphone (no Hitail app required), the finder of your lost pet can scan the QR code on the back of the tag. This allows them to share their GPS location with you via text & email. This will also pull up your pet's profile page which includes pet, health, behavior, veterinarian, and owner contact info.
How pet profile's work:
Setting up a new pet profile and activating a tag only takes a couple minutes. Simply scan the QR code to begin the activation process. Enter your pet and owner info and that's it! Your tag is activated. You can have unlimited pet profiles and unlimited tags with no fees ever!
My pet is microchipped. Why is this better?
The Humane Society recommends microchips as a backup identification method, but never the primary method. A microchip requires a finder to take your pet to a shelter and the shelter to have a compatible scanner (there are many types!). Pets often end up spending the night in the shelter and significantly delaying their return. Additionally over 50% of microchips have registration, scanning or outdated information issues. With Hitail QR tags, anyone with a smartphone can scan the tag and quickly reconnect you with your lost pet.
How does an AirTag work?
Insert an Apple AirTag (not included) into the hidden pocket in the center of the tag. This allows you to track your lost pet in real-time using Apple's Find My app and network. Anytime your pet is in range of any of millions of Apple devices, your pet can be tracked.
Are there any monthly fees?
Absolutely not! There are no hidden fees whatsoever. Only the initial purchase of the tag.
